Tom Douglas is the chef/owner/operator of several highly acclaimed restaurants in the Seattle area, The Dahlia Lounge, Etta's, The Palace Kitchen and Lola's. He is the author of several successful cookbooks and a James Beard Award winner. In addition, he also has a line of spice rubs and barbeque sauces that retail in upscale grocery and gourmet food stores.
Tom's radio show is about what is new and interesting in the food business, cooking tips and interviews with well-known and up-and-coming chefs. The show airs every Saturday on 710 Kiro Newsradio, from 4 pm to 7 pm, right at the peaking dinner-making hour!

Since 1997 Ostrom's has sponsored the special guest chef at Festa Italiana. This year's star is Nick Stellino, cookbook author and host of a new show premiering this fall called “Nick Stellino's Family Kitchen,” on Public Television. Nick will also be signing copies of his latest book titled; Nick Stellino's Mediterranean Flavors.

Another featured chef, back by popular demand, is Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery's Culinary director John Sarich. John is known for his Pacific Northwest cooking style, and popular cookbooks which feature Northwest cuisine as well as valuable advice on pairing food with wines. He will also be signing copies of his new book; John Sarich at Chateau Ste. Michelle.
The dates for Festa Italiana are Friday, September 29th, Saturday, September 30th and Sunday, October 1st.
Besides cooking at Festa Italiana these chefs took the opportunity to tour the Ostrom Mushroom Farm and experience first-hand the complex process of growing the freshest mushroom in the Pacific Northwest!
